9 Bainbridge Restaurants For Your Debut Out Of Quarantine

Kitsap County is officially in phase 2, which means Bainbridge Island residents can come out of hiding and begin to slowly navigate the outside world again. During phase 2, restaurants are allowed to seat guests at 50% building capacity. For all you foodies out there, this means finally being able to sit in a restaurant and order that long-awaited cocktail you've been dreaming about while cooped up inside these past 90 days.

Bainbridge Island has attracted accomplished chefs from not only Seattle but from around the world. Here, they have access to farm-fresh ingredients to create amazing dishes. Now more than ever these restaurants and their workers will need our support, as many of them had to cut back employee hours- or temporarily close completely- during the Washington stay at home order. We have compiled a list of our nine favorite restaurants for you to choose from for your first post-pandemic dine-out experience. It is hard to pick just nine restaurants as there are so many amazing eateries on the island, and with all of these amazing choices, you could dine out at different Bainbridge Island restaurant every night!

Hitchcock

a simple, dimly lit American restaurant that works well for celebrating important moments from school graduations to anniversaries. Hitchcock is one of the better-known restaurants on the island, owned by Seattle’s talented chef Brendan McGill. Cozy up in a booth and get ready for a dining experience from their very creative menu. Don't forget to try their cocktails too.

Agate

This charming cafe located next to the Island Museum of Art has some of the most attentive staff. Their seasonal menu uses local seafood, meats, and produce to create unforgettable dishes. Begin with a delectable starter, a cocktail, and then end with one of the decadent desserts.

Bruciato

This Neapolitan pizzeria is located in what used to be the Island’s hardware store. The space has been beautifully transformed into a modern industrial restaurant, which boasts impressive aesthetics. Eating here is an experience, and kids will love cutting their own piece of pizza with the special scissors your waiter/waitress will provide.

Doc's Marina Grill

This waterfront restaurant offers fantastic views of the marina from its deck dining area (which is enclosed and heated during the fall and winter months). Doc’s takes pride in providing the freshest and most delicious local seafood but also has a mouthwatering array of burgers and appetizers to choose from.

Ba Sa

New to the island in fall 2019, Ba Sa is a trendy, modern Vietnamese eatery featuring dishes such as curry-glazed chicken wings, caramelized garlic shrimp, and ca kho to (braised catfish)- all highlighting local ingredients. The small and large plates are great for sharing and savoring along with one of the original seasonal cocktails.

Restaurant Marche

A classic French spot with good champagne, croque monsieurs, and fries with aioli, Restaurant Marche is not to be missed. Did you miss celebrating a special calendar date over the past three months that you need to officially celebrate? This restaurant is arguably the most romantic spot on the island, with famous chef Greg Atkinson at the helm.

Bene Pizza

This small eatery will take a little searching to find, but it is worth the hunt. Bene Pizza is off the beaten path of most Bainbridge Island restaurants, but worth a short walk from the downtown area. Their artisan pizzas are to die for and the small bar also serves exquisite cocktails. Hearty salads, pasta dishes, and house-made desserts round out the menu. The decor is part of the experience as well with walls covered in music album covers.

Harbour Public House

Come here for the best Seattle and water views from their deck and a few choice seats inside. It’s also the place to go for fresh oysters and a huge beer list. Keep in mind if you have children that you must be 21 years of age to enter.

Via Rose 11

Craving some good Italian? Drive 10 minutes north of Winslow to a little neighborhood called Rolling Bay. Via Rosa 11 is where to go to feel taken care of. Order at the counter, where you can mix and match any pasta with any sauce, and then eat this excellent food inside or outside at a picnic table.
